ABOUT ME: I am interested in the design and management of "green" communities, and I focus on biodiversity conservation. My students, colleagues, and I are conducting a number of different local, national, and international projects centered around urban biodiversity conservation and the engagement of people.

Projects

Decisions made by a variety of people, from politicians to homeowners, ultimately determine whether a community functions as a green community. Projects in my lab target the three major decision hierarchies within urban communities: 1) homeowners and the general public, 2) developers and built environment professionals, and 3) planners and policymakers. Projects range from human dimensions to wildlife ecology and conservation.
